Fantastic Birds and Beasts
A search in diverse habitats

Jenn Raven (flute), Liz Cowdrey (violin/viola), Annabel Molyneaux (mezzo),
Peter Cowdrey (piano), Paul Molyneaux (poetry)
Birdsong music - Vivaldi, Couperin and Cowdrey; early 20th century landscape habitats set by Quilter, Walton and Elgar; some very silly animal poems by Apollinaire exaggerated even further by Poulenc; not to mention a distraught Maiden and a Nightingale and What a Wonderful World.

A Concert of Eastern European Gypsy Music
In support of Ukraine

Jubovski: Liz Cowdrey (violin, viola), Jub (double bass, tenor), Peter Cowdrey (piano) with Annabel Molyneaux (mezzo) and Paul Molyneaux (poetry, bass)
A concert of gypsy music accompanied by pieces which derive from folk music in rural communities, for example Janacek's Children's Rhymes - hysterical nonsense verse, and instrumental pieces such as Bartok's Romanian Dances - so beautiful that they make me weep.
All music is from the Ukraine and neighbouring countries giving refuge to those who are escaping.
