King Charles: a musical portrait of his well-known passionate interests, for example the environment and traditional farming; and others you may not know about - entranced by ballet and Beethoven, is a fanatical hill-walker and played the cello in Trinity College Cambridge orchestra.

Musical Dads and Sons (and Daughters when they were allowed to be professional musicians) ~ some intruguingly startling family trees ... also, a smattering of sports and other Father and their offspring, including Hilaire Belloc's cautionary tale of Rebecca (a wealthy banker's daughter) who slammed doors for fun and perished miserably!
WILLIAM MORRIS AND KELMSCOTT MANOR

Steeped in classical, medieval, and renaissance literature, music and architecture, William Morris embarks on life. He and his wife Jane move to Kelmscott Manor, a hugely inspirational "Heaven on Earth" with fishing and a wonderful garden. He founds Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Co, translates Icelandic sagas, writes socialist chants, prints books and inspires Vaughan Williams and Holst.
