Liz Cowdrey is enjoying the challenges of getting to know her new violin. In addition to a longstanding commitment to giving vent to all kinds of chamber music, when left to her own devices, she also indulges unashamedly in the riches of a strict diet of unaccompanied Bach. Either way, her instrument is her voice.
Liz (Whizzy) continues to improvise her obscure way along a long-distance trail towards mastery of the mountainous mysteries of string playing…
(Dolomiti, prego! - and a bit of mineral dolomite could help.) Well, for Liz, EU-speaking, this year already includes spring recall (Olé!) with The Conference of Birds' Birdsong Music and Walking Tour set in the hills and villages of Andalusia.
This will hopefully be pursued with down-time foraging (on foot, not horseback I'm afraid, presumably with forint as opposed to euros) near the plains of Hungary (Csókolom!). Yet to set foot horizontally or vertically on US soil, I am both on and up for a virtual USA visit (Geewhizz!)!
